We worked with Nicole in 2015 to both sell our 1st home and buy our 2nd. At the time, we had a tight timeline (I was 7 months pregnant!). Nicole helped us sell our home quickly and, in a seller’s market, helped us buy our next home in Union City. Fast forward 6 years. In 2021, our family relocated to Washington. We knew we needed to list and sell our Union City home quickly. There was no question that we’d reach out to Nicole again to manage the transaction. We called her and met within a day. When we showed her the schedule we were aiming for (another tight timeline! I’m sensing a pattern for our family), she said it was totally possible. Within a few weeks, we emptied the house and moved from CA to WA. Over the next 10 days, Nicole and her team transformed the place. New front fence, new entryway, custom front yard stairway, new exterior AND interior paint, revamped hall bathroom, new garage door, new main bath shower door, new sod, freshly sanded and painted cabinet doors. (There’s probably more that I’m forgetting). Since we were already living in Washington, Nicole directly oversaw and took care of every detail. Nicole and her team created a new home for us. She respected our budget and focused on the best repairs for the maximum return on investment. Nicole sent us progress pictures since we were living in Washington. When we saw the final pictures, it felt like we were falling in love with our house all over again. Clearly, other buyers fell in love as well. We ended up with 7 offers to consider, all well above the asking price. We had a smooth, quick escrow (21 days), which helped us purchase our home in WA. The Bay Area is a seller’s market. Most single-family homes get multiple offers and sell quickly with any agent. "My wife and I met 10 realtors when we were looking for our first home 9 years ago, Nicole stood out as the clear choice for being patient, knowledgeable, and practical. Today, two homes later, we couldn't be happier with our decision of working with Nicole. Over the years, we worked with Nicole on buying two houses and selling one. We first came across Nicole by visiting open houses in Fremont-Newark. We went to several of her open houses and noticed that they were all carefully curated. Later on, when she helped me sell my house, I got to know the behind-the-scenes details. Nicole had an A-list cross-functional team: home improvement, roofers, electricians, plumbers, gardeners, cleaners, and even escrow agents. They are all at the top of their respective game, and yet some of them don't even exist on Google and Yelp, despite doing better work than the highly rated ones I found myself. Nicole knows the Tri-city market really really well. She is a walking library. In real estate, people pay a lot of attention to comparables. When I find interesting comparables on Zillow or Redfin, I go to Nicole for insights. As soon as I mention the street name, she would already know about the property, and bring up things I have not researched about. After Nicole helped us buy the first house in 2014, we stayed in touch. She had always been very generous and responsive in answering my questions every year, from market insight to refinance, from remodeling contacts to earthquake insurance policies. At one point, I was looking for a house in Los Angeles, Nicole put in a good effort in helping me make connections in that market, despite she would not profit from that work. Nicole is very practical and efficient. When buying or selling a house, inevitably folks would have to come across some financial or legal questions. Most licensed realtors might say you need to consult with a tax advisor for X, a financial planner for Y, or a lawyer for Z. Nicole might not be a financial planner or a lawyer, but I know she has tons of relevant experience with over 19 years of experience. At my request, she could still share insight on these topics, which makes the process so much more efficient and productive. My friends also worked with Nicole in selling their house. "Because of my line of work, I know hundreds of Real Estate agents and have worked directly with many of them. Earlier this year I began searching for a home on my own and quickly learned that I couldn’t devote enough time to do it properly. I decided to go with Nicole because she knows the market and the area, is knowledgeable and personable. One of the best things about working with Nicole is that she is accessible. Phone calls, e-mails, and text messages are answered promptly. Oftentimes I would send an e-mail late at night expecting an answer the next day and be surprised to see a reply just minutes later. I also have an unpredictable work schedule and Nicole was very flexible and easy to work with. I would advise her how much time I had and she would have several homes lined up that met our criteria. The market was very crazy back then and we were putting in an average of one offer per week. We finally got one accepted. The house was a flip and the seller agreed to the purchase price. We subsequently ran into multiple issues with the seller who did not want to honor the terms of the contract. Luckily for us, persistence, negotiation skills, and experience are three more of Nicole’s strong points. Her persistence and people skills resulted in an amicable resolution of this issue. Her empathy and friendliness were key in minimizing the stress during a stressful negotiation process. She genuinely cared about how I felt, was a great advocate and represented my interests at all times. Throughout the ups and downs, she remained upbeat, positive, and steady. In summary, Nicole did an excellent job throughout the process of finding and purchasing a house. As first-time home buyers, we were constantly learning about the market and more so about our own priorities. Nicole was always sensitive to our ‘ever-changing’ requirements. We always had a lot of questions for her and she was always very responsive and patient. She has a very cheerful, accommodating, and patient demeanor, which made it easier for us to ‘bombard’ her with our questions and doubts. Nicole was super flexible in terms of her availability. She was reachable via all possible channels – texting, email, and phone. She was pretty helpful in going over listings, filtering them, adding more, and of course touring any property that we wanted her input on. She never pushed us to bid on any property. On the contrary, she was pretty open when she didn’t like a property after touring it together. When we did express interest – she was on top of it – that’s how we eventually got our new home! Ours was a last-minute offer. Nicole took the serious initiative in keeping the seller’s agent engaged while we worked on the offer. Also, since she’s a listing agent as well, it helped to get the seller’s POV while putting up the offer. Nicole’s contacts in the real estate market – ranging from lenders to home inspectors to contractors really helped us transition to our first home a lot easier.
